Engaging in Supplier Negotiations

Golden Mine Projects usually operates based on its standard contractual terms. Sometimes, suppliers might suggest different terms that could pose undue risks, warranting more in-depth discussions. These discussions could span multiple rounds before arriving at a mutually agreeable contract.

The Golden Mine Projects' Supply Chain team usually contrasts proposed rates with market benchmarks. If a supplier's pricing is higher than what's deemed reasonable, they'll need to justify the discrepancy and might have to adjust their rates.

Other Determining Factors for Awarding Contracts

At Golden Mine Projects, we tend to favor our existing contracted suppliers to streamline operations, reduce risks, and maximize our purchasing strength across regions. However, we'll consider awarding contracts to community-based, women-led, indigenous, BEE compliant/HDP governed, or social enterprises that fulfill our criteria.

We motivate our contractors and suppliers to identify and incorporate such businesses within their supply chains whenever feasible.
